Basketball Recap: Kamiak Comes Up Short

If Kamiak was feeling good fresh off their 74-24 takedown of Mariner last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kamiak Knights took an 82-68 bruising from the Glacier Peak Grizzlies on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 94th).

Kamiak has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Glacier Peak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Kamiak will look to defend their home court on January 17th against Cascade at 8:00 p.m. As for Glacier Peak, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mariner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Glacier Peak is facing Mariner at the right time seeing as Mariner is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
