Basketball Recap: Seton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kaitlyn Hess and Annie Busam

If Seton was feeling good fresh off their 58-35 takedown of Ursuline Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seton Saints took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walnut Hills Eagles. The Saints have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Seton's loss on Monday came despite strong showings from Annie Busam and Kaitlyn Hess. Busam went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points, while Hess posted five points and five boards. Those 14 points gave Busam a new career-high. Lauren Bain was another key player, putting up three points.

Seton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Walnut Hills, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Coming up, Seton will be taking part in a tournament against Oak Hills at 7:30 p.m. on February 19th. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
