Volleyball Recap: East Troy Comes Up Short

East Troy was the 3-1 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since September 11th.

While East Troy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.

Rachel Kuehn paced East Troy's offense, picking up eight kills. Kuehn got some help from Addison Christenson and her 13 assists. Christenson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lola Gonzalez, each putting up three.

East Troy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Jefferson, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

East Troy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lakeside Lutheran on the 27th. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Monroe on the 25th.
