Football Recap: Alma Sets Scoring Season-High Against Vilonia

A well-balanced attack led Alma over Vilonia in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Airedales put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 38-12 victory. The Airedales' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Alma's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samuel Schlegel, who rushed for 33 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards Schlegel has posted since back in November of 2024. Dylan Jackson also helped out with an impressive 114 receiving yards.

With the win, Alma broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Vilonia, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Alma has already played their next game, a 56-27 defeat against Greenbrier on the 17th. As for Vilonia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-13 loss against Farmington on the 17th.
