Basketball Recap: IDEA Bluff Springs Gets the Win

If IDEA Health Professions wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played IDEA Bluff Springs, they should've done a better job of containing Samantha Saucedo-Palencia. The IDEA Bluff Springs Bats snuck past the IDEA Health Professions Centaurs with a 30-25 victory on Friday thanks in part to Saucedo-Palencia, who went 7 of 14 en route to 22 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of IDEA Bluff Springs' points.

IDEA Bluff Springs' win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for IDEA Health Professions, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Valor South Austin the next time they take the court. IDEA Health Professions will head out to face Valor South Austin at 6:45 p.m. on February 7th, while IDEA Bluff Springs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th.
