Soccer Recap: Research Triangle Comes Up Short

Research Triangle lost against East Wake Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raptors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Research Triangle's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Research Triangle has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-1 record this season. As for East Wake Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Research Triangle didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Triangle Math & Science on the 25th. As for East Wake Academy, they will welcome NCSSM: Durham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
