Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Green Hill

Hendersonville is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Green Hill Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hendersonville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Christ Presbyterian Academy 5-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Green Hill). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Glencliff on Tuesday. With that win, Green Hill brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

They hit Glencliff with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isaak Marquez, Ethan Lee, Greg Gooley, and Keaton Hill.

Hendersonville now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Green Hill, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Hendersonville beat Green Hill by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. Will Hendersonville repeat their success, or does Green Hill has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
