Volleyball Recap: Spring Hill Raiders vs. Franklin Christian Academy Falcons
On Wednesday, the Spring Hill Raiders didn't have quite enough to beat the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons and fell 3-2. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Spring Hill took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 23-25, 25-17, 15-7.
Even though they lost, Spring Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Christian Academy only served six.
Franklin Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Lilia Erickson, who had 18 digs. What's more, Erickson also racked up no blocks, the mostshe's had in she last three games.
Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Franklin Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Spring Hill will challenge Shelbyville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Hill is facing Shelbyville Central at the right time seeing as Shelbyville Central is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Franklin Christian Academy, they will take on Franklin Road Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
