Baseball Recap: St. Luke's Triumphs

St. Luke won the last time they faced Greens Farms Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Storm came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 11-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Storm.

Nate Kesselmark was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Kesselmark was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Kesselmark is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Christian Brown was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those hits were his first of the season. David Carioto was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Luke's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greens Farms Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Luke's will venture away from home to challenge Taft School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greens Farms Academy, they will head out to face off against Rye Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
