After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mena, Pottsville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clarksville Panthers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Apaches have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Eli Morris, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Pottsville is undefeated when Morris posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Keaton Ashmore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Pottsville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Clarksville, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Pottsville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
