Basketball Game Preview: Wagon Mound Trojans vs. Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue

Wagon Mound hasn't had much luck against Roy/Mosquero recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wagon Mound Trojans will take on the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wagon Mound is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game last Thursday with ease, bagging a 96-14 victory over San Jon. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 67 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Roy/Mosquero entered their tilt with Des Moines on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They strolled past the Demons with points to spare, taking the game 54-36.

Roy/Mosquero's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Wagon Mound, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Wagon Mound was dealt a bruising 71-34 loss at the hands of Roy/Mosquero in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Wagon Mound avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
