Softball Game Preview: Ellington Whippets vs. Scott County Central Braves

The Ellington Whippets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Scott County Central Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ellington is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Salem on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Scott County Central didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomfield on Monday and fell 11-10.

Nikki Adams was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliviyah Holland, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
