Baseball Recap: Wayne County Wildcats vs. Lewis County Panthers

It was a proper cat-fight when Wayne County faced off against Lewis County on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-2. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Panthers on their field since April 1, 2017.

Weston Todd made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Todd was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Jacan Floyd was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.
