Volleyball Recap: Midway Falls to Harnett Central in First Game of Season

Midway had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harnett Central Trojans. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Midway lost, don't look at Abbie Beasley. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and two assists. Kaedyn Moran was another key player, hitting 78.4% for 33 kills and 14 digs and four aces.

Looking ahead, Midway will head out on the road to take on Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harnett Central, they will host Jack Britt at 5:45 p.m. on the 20th.
