Baseball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Platt's Winning Streak

Platt fell victim to Norwalk and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (1-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The matchup marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

Brandon Candelora spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

With the defeat, Platt broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7. As for Norwalk, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

While Platt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
