Volleyball Recap: Greenville Find Success

Greenville posted their closest win since October 5, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions 2-1.

Greenville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 15-8.

Ava Potthast paced Greenville's offense, picking up eight kills. Potthast got some help from Haylee Hediger and her eight assists. Finally, Autumn Lutz kept Greenville's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Greenville's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-2. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Greenville will challenge Gillespie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ Our Rock Lutheran has already played their next matchup (against Pana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
