Basketball Recap: Campbell County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Campbell County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past the Oneida Indians with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-39. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Indians are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campbell County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Oneida, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Campbell County will take on Barren County in a tournament on December 27th. Oneida will take on Maryville Christian in a holiday battle at at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville Christian's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Oneida's offense will have their work cut out for them.
