Basketball Game Preview: Hodgeman County Longhorns vs. South Gray Rebels

The Hodgeman County Longhorns will head out to face off against the South Gray Rebels at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hodgeman County will head out to face South Gray after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Hodgeman County fell 45-32 to Bucklin. The match marked the Longhorns' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Hodgeman County had strong showings from Ashlynn Beil, who posted seven points and three steals, and Aidan Lonnberg, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, South Gray's undefeated season came to an end after 13 games on Thursday. They fell just short of Spearville by a score of 40-38. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rebels came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Lancers are ranked 111th).

Hodgeman County's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for South Gray, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.
