After a string of four wins, Wheeling's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Buffalo Grove Bison by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bison earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Wheeling started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Wheeling's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Buffalo Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeling will host Vernon Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Buffalo Grove, they will welcome Rolling Meadows at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.
