Preview: Alexandria Valley Cubs vs. Anniston Bulldogs
After three games on the road, Alexandria is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Anniston Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Alexandria comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
On Monday, Alexandria ended up a good deal behind Jacksonville and lost 40-21.
Meanwhile, Anniston put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Piedmont, posting a 59-30 win at home. Considering Anniston has won nine contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Alexandria has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Anniston, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0.
