Baseball Game Preview: Lake-Lehman Knights vs. Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans

The Lake-Lehman Knights will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Lake-Lehman came up short against Pine Grove and fell 6-3.

Chris Sholtis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Will Jenkins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Greater Nanticoke Area, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Northwest Area 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Serafino Raggi, who scored nine runs while going 1-for-3. Those nine runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Welch, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Lake-Lehman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
