Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Nashville Christian's Winning Streak

If Nashville Christian was riding high fresh off their 60-39 takedown of Mount Juliet last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nashville Christian Eagles lost to the Goodpasture Christian Cougars on the road by a 51-37 margin on Saturday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lazaviona Hawkins was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals for Goodpasture Christian. Hawkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Jones, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
