Softball Recap: Cypress Ridge Victorious

Cypress Ridge's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Cypress Falls Eagles 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Ariel Arambula made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Arambula was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Arambula wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Edelin Barrios, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Barrios a new career-high. Londyn Collins was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cypress Ridge lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Cypress Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Cypress Falls, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Cypress Ridge nor Cypress Falls have any future games scheduled.
