Baseball Game Preview: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. Crescent Tigers

For the second straight game, Walhalla will face off against Crescent. The Razorbacks will head out to face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Walhalla took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Crescent get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Razorbacks have posted against the Tigers since March 9, 2017.

Not much got past Dalton Dial, who gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks to keep Crescent off the board. Dial has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Walhalla's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tobie Lowe, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Walhalla is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Crescent, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
