In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Timberland came out on top. They snuck past the Burke Bulldogs with a 62-58 victory on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Bulldogs two weeks ago, they had to take a 72-63 defeat.

Despite the loss, Burke had strong showings from Khamani Green, who went 5-for-12 en route to 15 points, and Melachi Singleton, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Singleton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Venning, who posted ten points.

Timberland's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Burke, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Timberland has already played their next match, a 51-41 loss against Bridges Prep on the 18th. As for Burke, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-67 victory against Marion on the 18th.
