Softball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station lost against Beauregard back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 5-4.

Smiths Station's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Beauregard, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smiths Station will venture away from home to challenge Spanish Fort at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Toros' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Beauregard, they will square off against Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
