Wayne Trace took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Tinora, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders skirted past the Rams 6-5. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Raegan McGarvey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Sam Williams was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Addyson Labounty also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Wayne Trace and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Tinora, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Wayne Trace will welcome Miller City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tinora, they will head out to square off against Kalida at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
