Basketball Recap: Serena Comes Up Short

Serena and Yorkville Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Serena had to settle for second. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yorkville Christian Mustangs. The Huskers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yorkville Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danielle Bulson, who en route to 16 points and five rebounds. Payton Wallin was another key player, to rack up 16 points.

Serena's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Yorkville Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-8.

Serena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yorkville Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-20 defeat against St. Edward on the 25th.
