Hazel Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Martinez wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Vasquez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Layla Jimenez was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
