Hicksville suffers 12th straight loss on the road

Recap: Hicksville Aces vs. Ayersville Pilots

The Hicksville Aces won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Ayersville, falling 50-20. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hicksville in their matchups with Ayersville: they've now lost four in a row.

Ally Schindler was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Ayersville. Schindler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Craft, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.

Hicksville's defeat was their 12th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.1 points per game. As for Ayersville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Hicksville will head out on the road to square off against Lincolnview at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincolnview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hicksville in Ohio (Lincolnview is ranked 348th, while Hicksville is ranked 720th). As for Ayersville, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Montpelier at 1:30 p.m.
