Basketball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Panthers vs. Silver Bluff Bulldogs
The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers lost against the Silver Bluff Bulldogs last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Batesburg-Leesville was beaten by the Bulldogs 65-23. Batesburg-Leesville has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Krystal Johnson, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals for Silver Bluff. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ahminah Taylor, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Silver Bluff, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Batesburg-Leesville will head out on the road to face off against the Predators at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Silver Bluff, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. McCormick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
