Basketball Recap: James Monroe Extends Home Winning Streak to 13

James Monroe came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 62-28 win over the Bluefield Beavers. The match marked the Mavericks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leading James Monroe to victory were Maggie Boroski and Mya Dunlap. Boroski almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals, while Dunlap posted 18 points along with six assists and three steals. The contest was Dunlap's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Dunlap, who earned two points and three steals.

James Monroe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.
