Basketball Game Preview: Ames vs. Dowling Catholic

The Dowling Catholic Maroons will be playing 32 minutes Friday, but they're expected to have things wrapped up well before that. They are staying on the road to face off against the Ames Little Cyclones. Dowling Catholic is currently enjoying a four-game winning streak and is looking to extend their dominance.

The Maroons escaped with a win against Des Moines North by the margin of a single free throw, 84-83.

Meanwhile, Ames was totally in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Marshalltown 60-16 on the road. That 44-point margin sets a new team best for Ames on the season.

The wins brought Dowling Catholic up to 16-6 and Ames to 9-14. Dowling Catholic is 13-2 after wins this season, the Little Cyclones 2-6.
