Football Recap: Charlottesville Starts Season with Loss at Home

Charlottesville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the James Monroe Yellow Jackets and fell 35-0. The loss continues a trend for the Black Knights in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost four in a row.

James Monroe has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlottesville will face off against John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James Monroe, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Massaponax at 7:00 p.m.
