Basketball Recap: Grants Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Grants lost to Bloomfield back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Pirates walked away with a 47-36 win over the Bobcats. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Despite the defeat, Bloomfield had strong showings from Delanna Russell, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds, and Mischa Quintana, who posted 13 points. Russell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

The win got Grants back to even at 3-3. As for Bloomfield, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Grants will be home for the holidays to greet Aztec at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Zuni at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
