Baseball Recap: Springville Takes a Loss

Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 10-7 to the Wasatch Wasps. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wasps this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-10 last Tuesday.

Preston Hansen was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Eli Liddiard was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Wasatch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Springville will face off against rival Orem at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wasatch is set to take on their familiar foe Spanish Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
