Defeat or not, Taft got some senior leadership from Jaycee Edgar and Haley Jimenez. Edgar had 43 digs and two aces, while Jimenez had 11 digs and 27 assists. Those 43 digs set a new season-high mark for Edgar.

McFarland's win bumped their record up to 6-18-1. As for Taft, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14-4 record this season.
