Volleyball Game Preview: Pacifica Tritons vs. Oxnard Yellowjackets

Pacifica hasn't had much luck against Oxnard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tritons will take on the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Pacifica came up short against Dos Pueblos and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 23-25, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Oxnard earned a 3-1 win over Rio Mesa on Thursday.

Oxnard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.

Pacifica better keep an eye on Jessica Camarillo. She was instrumental in Oxnard's win, getting 20 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila Hernandez, who had nine digs and three aces.

Oxnard's record is now 10-15. As for Pacifica, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Pacifica might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Oxnard in their previous meeting on September 4th. Can the Tritons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
