The Gilead Christian Eagles typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday Gospel Haven Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Eagles with a 51-46 victory.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Denim Myers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Myers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Talan Blankenship, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.

Gospel Haven Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Gilead Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.

Gospel Haven Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gilead Christian will head out on the road to face off against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
