Soccer Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Stafford was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Almeta Crawford Chargers by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Arely Ya?ez, who's now up to 20 this season.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Almeta Crawford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13.

Coming up, Stafford will head out to square off against Needville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Almeta Crawford, they will host Columbia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
