Basketball Game Preview: Elite Academy Eagles vs. Pine Crest Panthers

The Elite Academy Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pine Crest Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Elite Academy has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Pine Crest will arrive with three straight wins.

Elite Academy is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since November 21, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of Somerset Academy Key by a score of 70-67.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. Pine Crest simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Coral Springs Charter 80-45. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-20.

Elite Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pine Crest, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Elite Academy came up short against Pine Crest in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 48-44. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
