Softball Recap: Ennis Falls Short of Lake Belton in the Playoffs

Ennis and Lake Belton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Ennis had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in March.

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Lake Belton, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 30-2.

While Ennis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
