Football Preview: Beauregard Hornets vs. Central of Clay County Volunteers
The Beauregard Hornets will head out to face off against the Central of Clay County Volunteers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Beauregard's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Holtville 27-0. The Hornets pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beauregard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davis Fuller, who picked up 52 receiving yards and two TDs. The Hornets also got a significant boost from Tae Foreman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Meanwhile, Central of Clay County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Bulldogs 42-0. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Volunteers this season.
Beauregard's record now sits at 2-5. As for Central of Clay County, their record is now 7-1.
