Baseball Preview: Brookfield Warriors vs. Champion Golden Flashes
Brookfield is 0-10 against Champion since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Golden Flashes at 5:00 p.m. Brookfield will be strutting in after a win while Champion will be coming in after a defeat.
Brookfield took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Crestview, sneaking past 3-2.
Brandon Hardman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hardman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Devan Reardon, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Champion's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of LaBrae on Wednesday. The Golden Flashes haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
