Timberlake barely beat Okeene the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Whippets get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Payton Pierce made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Timberlake is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Pierce was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted over his last six matchups.

The victory got Timberlake back to even at 10-10. As for Okeene, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Looking ahead, Timberlake will face off against Waynoka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Okeene will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' game: after the Tigers face off against the Railroaders, they'll take on Okeene again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
