Softball Recap: Delta Charter Has No Trouble Against Elliot Christian

Delta Charter came out on top against Elliot Christian on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Dragons blew past the Eagles 12-6. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Aaliyah Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Rebecca Medina was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Madyson Torres, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Delta Charter now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Elliot Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Delta Charter has already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Humphreys Able Charter on the 29th. Hopefully Elliot Christian paid attention to the Dragons' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
