After a string of 14 wins dating back to last season, Poly's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 47-35 to the Catholic Crusaders.

Poly's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of London Elliot, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals, and Brianna Pope, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pope a new career-high in boards.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Poly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-32 defeat against King's Fork on the 14th. As for Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 40-24 win against Tournament Opponent on the 14th.
