Recap: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals
After losing to the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals the last time they met, the Ithaca Yellowjackets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ithaca greeted the New Year with with a 57-41 victory over Michigan Lutheran Seminary. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ithaca.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Broekhuizen, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of William Salgat, who scored 11 points.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Ithaca back to even at 4-4. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ithaca will take on Bullock Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they will be playing at home against St. Louis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Louis is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
