Basketball Recap: Classics Comes Up Short

Classics suffered their closest defeat since January 3, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the All City Leadership Academy Eagles by a score of 64-61. Classics was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced All City Leadership Academy earlier this season, when they won 59-52.

Classics' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for All City Leadership Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Classics will head out to face off against East New York Arts and Civics at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Classics knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully East New York Arts and Civics likes a good challenge. As for All City Leadership Academy, they will challenge Maxwell Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
