Basketball Recap: Muddy River Homeschool's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to 13

Muddy River HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 75-64 victory over the Pontchartrain Christian HomeSchool Paladins. Given the Counselors' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 20th in Mississippi, while the Paladins are ranked 158th in Louisiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Muddy River HomeSchool to victory were Sun Michael Williams and Caleb Sanders. Williams went 11 of 25 on his way to 31 points and five assists, while Sanders almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The match was Sanders' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Sanders, who posted five points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Muddy River HomeSchool's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.2 points per game. As for Pontchartrain Christian HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Muddy River HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-52 victory against Christian Home Educators Fellowship on the 16th. Pontchartrain Christian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
